**This event has been canceled. Please visit our calendar for more events.**

Interested in learning more about the movement to abolish practices of isolation and solitary confinement in the United States? This panel discussion will feature artists and activists working towards the abolishment of such practices within the prison system. Jackie Sumell, Jacqueline Williams, Tiffany Walker, and Syrita Steib share personal experiences and stories, along with illuminating studies and information on how isolation and confinement are used as punitive measures. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn firsthand how these practices impact not only individuals who have experienced incarceration, but also their families and loved ones.

This program is presented in partnership with Zealous; Open MI Door Campaign; Citizens for Prison Reform; and Operation Restoration, NOLA.

This online event will take place on Zoom.
